Any advice on how to prepare for him coming home? We've lived separate lives for a few years, but dedicated to each other. I hear it's difficult adjusting to one another again. We've been together for twelve years ...Any advice for a smooth transition?

Smurf First thing and the most important be patient. Make sure when he comes home he feels at home. Remember he has to readjust to being free. All you can do is be patient and stand beside him.

Ro ❤ CoFounder/President Unfortunately I have heard of this. But that doesn't make it right. What are they being locked down for? How serious was the offense? You might be able to call and complain to the region (feds) or governors office (state) but to be honest, I've never seen that help. Usually long lock downs stem back to violence. I know it's rough honey, keep writing to him.

kc My husband is incarcerated in the federal BOP. I haven't seen him since Feb and we now live thousands of miles away. He is getting transferred sometime after Aug and the kids and I miss him dearly. I know living out here is awesome....I have my sister down the street, yet there is an ache that I feel not being able to see him. It was hard being back East because I didn't have any family help with the kids, and now I am facing the music of not being able to see his smiling face.

Leeann I feel you on the distance. I would love it if I could move closer to him. We still have at the very least 3 years to go but can be up to 5.

kc Sometimes I think weekends are the most difficult. The kids want to see their father and the time goes slow. We can only visit every few weeks because my husband is in the federal system, it's far away. The gas to get there is expensive. Any advice on how to keep the kids positive? My husband, their father/ has had such a huge impact on their lives.

About

Hi Ladies,

To tell you a bit about me, and my situation. My husband/love is incarcerated for 38 months. I have three kids, my youngest is 4 months old (Boy), a 3 year old (boy), and a six year old((girl). My family is my life and that includes my love who is away.
This has been a growing process for me and I am so grateful that there is support out there.
Thanks for all that you do.
