Mrs. Foster Good morning ladies! I have not checked in a whileand wanted to see how everyone has been doing and to let everyone know to keep your heads up it will get better you are much stronger then you think and in the long run it is worth it and will make you and you rman much stronger! I have been blessed to have my man come home on March 1, 2017 and we are now expecting our first baby. I can not stress enough how blessed we are and how much I had prayed for this day to come. I want to be able to reach out and help anyone who is having a rough time with there loved one being away. While he was away we went through so much and sometimes its hard for people who are not involved in the prison wives lifestyle to understand what you are going through. By writing this I want to reach out and let all of you ladies know that I am heard if you need someone to vent to, someone to help you through a rough time or just someone to talk to about what you are feeling or thinking. Always remember you are so much strong then you think and YOU GOT THIS!!

Mrs. Foster Does anyone find it hard to communicate with there man who is locked up? We have been going through this for 3 years and at time it is hard to talk to one another (I feel on my end). When he gets an attitude while we are having a conversation,I know I handle it the wrong way by catching one to then starting to yell because I have reached my breaking point with everything. It feels like it is never going to end even though he only has a year left. Has anyone ever been nervous that they are about to come home after you have been doing everything on your own for so long? Dont get me wrong I can not wait but sometimes it feel like we may not make it because he wants everything done his way and I have been doing it our way for so long, just physically doing it alone. There are times when I resent him for being gone and times when I think if we did end it would be easier but it my heart I know that is not true. Is this a normal feeling? Has anyone else felt this way?

Jo I think that most people occasionally resent the times that their partner isn't around, and the things they're not home to help out with. I'd say that's totally normal! And it's a very REAL transition, where you HAVE to communicate your needs, wants and expectations when your partner is getting ready to come home. It's great that he wants to help but you've been the one holding it down for all this time and he needs to honor and acknowledge that; do his best to "get in where he fits in". Those are NOT unreasonable expectations on your part. I think it's important to find a time you two are NOT feeling frustrated with each other and voice your concerns. I'm sure he wants things to go smoothly just like you do and if you work together, you'll do great! :)

Mrs. Foster We normally talk about everything but there are time were I just can not take the attitude so I do the same thing I dont want him to then I start to yell which then neither one of us are listening. We are both very strong willed people and I have been trying to let my pride go when it comes to things but sometimes it gets very hard to let it go when all you want is for the other person to not always second guess what you are doing. I know its tough for him as well when it comes to the transition home it just gets so frustrating the closer it gets it seems the harder he gets on me and how I react to situation If that makes any sense
